Badminton is a game of two or four people. Badminton is the game consists of one player against one player or a team of two players against another team of two players. The aim of the game is to strike the shuttlecock over the net in a way that the other player or pair cannot hit it rear before it hits the floor. The early stages of Badminton can be traced to mid-18th century British India; everywhere it was created by British military officers stationed there. Early photograph show Englishmen adding a net to the traditional English game of battledore and shuttlecock. Being particularly popular in the British garrison town Poona (now Pun), the game also come to be known as Poona. Firstly, balls of wool referred as ball badminton were preferred by the top classes in windy or wet conditions, but finally the shuttlecock stuck. This game was taken by retired officers back to England where it developed and rules were set out.
